Similarities Between English and French

In many ways, French is very much like English. For example, simple French sentences generally follow the same arrangement as English ones. Take a look at the sentences below:

The boy eats the croissant.
Le garçon mange le croissant.


From the picture above, we can find out that:
  • The word "The" is "Le" in French.
  • The word "boy" is "garçon" in French.
  • The word "eats" is "mange" in French.
  • The word "the" is "le" in French.
